During the spring and fall, when agility season is taking a break here in the Pacific Northwest, I get people together for group powder sessions in and around Spokane, Washington. We typically squeeze in about 10-12 dogs per day, and I try and schedule a full weekend to fit people in. These sessions fill up quick, and I usually have a waitlist, so be sure to reach out to me ASAP if you’re interested in coming to my next session.
Spokane: Tentatively April 9/10
Tri-Cities: April 2/3. Full, full waitlist. October weekend TBD.
Pullman: No spring sessions planned, possibly fall TBD.
I’m interested in trying to put together powder sessions anywhere within about a 6 hour drive from Spokane, WA. I’m looking for contacts with an indoor space about 30 x 40 with dirt floors in Seattle and Portland for powder sessions in those areas. If you have a lead, please get in touch with me.
Is your dog a good fit?
For the most part, these sessions are intended for agility dogs only. In order to get our powder pictures, dogs need lots of training to be able to go where we want them to go in a big, open barn. Even something as simple as jumping over a bar is hard for a dog that hasn’t been trained to do it, especially when we surround them with big, bright flashes and ask them to do the same thing over and over again. Dogs familiar with some sort of competition – agility, disc, etc, typically do well.
If you’re interested in signing up, or getting on my waitlist, please click here to read through the detailed powder guide I’ve put together. It includes prices and details about what to expect from our session. If all of that sounds good, please head over to my contact page and send me an email!
